Shanghai’s The9 CEO In Talks to Buy Liverpool, Independent Says


May 11 (Bloomberg) -- Zhu Jun, the multi-millionaire founder of a Shanghai-based online gaming company The9 Ltd. has held provisional talks on buying the Liverpool football club, the Independent reported, citing unidentified people.

Zhu, the 44-year-old chief executive officer of Nasdaq- listed company, has had two “exploratory meetings” in Hong Kong and Shanghai in the past week about buying Liverpool, it said.
